Late summer 2022, Jo and I had an opportunity to take a trip from (Emporia), Kansas to (Burlington), Vermont. Prior to our trip, I had little knowledge of what the Eastern part of the United States was like. Much to my surprise, a lot of the scenery felt just like home here in Alberta. Scenery from the open, endless skies of Kansas to the mountain atmosphere of Vermont really made me feel like I was just exploring a new area close to home.

During this trip, we travelled straight east, stopping one night in Chicago and four in New York City before reaching our final destination in Vermont.
